What is Digital Orthotic Scanning

Digital Orthotic Scanning is an electronic imaging device that uses light to create a 3D image of the foot designed for podiatrists. This image us used to create orthotics

How is the Scan Done

PatieAlbuquerque Experienced Orthotic Specialistnts place their foot on the scanner, the medical assistant clicks the scan button and the “mold” appears on the screen so it can be reviewed by the doctor. If the patient has moved during the scan, the medical assistant can simply rescan in another few seconds and review it again.

Using this revolutionary method, Digital Orthotic Scanning produces incredibly accurate and consistent results for the patients. This digital image can then be electronically submitted to any lab for the immediate creation of comfortable, well-fitting custom orthotics.

Every patient is extensively screened and educated for orthotics and concurrently placed on appropriate physical therapies to address many abnormalities.
